A Bit About Myself.....
Having 25 years experience with horses, with 10 years under my belt teaching and training, I began my life with horses doing a bit of everything. Hunt seat, western pleasure, sidesaddle, gymkhana, competitive trail...it took some serious exploring before I started to focus on the principles of classical dressage as what captivated me in world of horses. A year long intense internship with Phil and Orintha Silva of Ten Brock Farm solidified the fact that I could learn for the rest of my life and still be fascinated by this endless and ageless style of training and riding.
My theories are grounded on the fact that there is nothing more important than the basics to help create a safe solid foundation from which to move up from. The ability for a rider to apply classical dressage concepts with common sense horse knowledge can improve any animal's performance and enjoyment in its work.
Lessons, camps, training, volunteering with our local and state 4H, and bringing along my personal education keeps myself immersed in the equine world full time... and I am loving it! I am blessed to have a wonderful and supportive husband and an incredible circle of loved ones.... life is good in Vermont
